Mother's Day weekend wrap-up

I know, I'm almost a week behind but that's just how I roll!

I had a great weekend. Jared & the kids did a great job spoiling me. I was treated to a few of my favorite things this past Saturday & Sunday!

waking up to a bed full of kids and having cuddle time
breakfast at Cracker Barrel
shopping
fish Tacos from Rubio's
a clean house
Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie from Chili's
a full night of sleep from Delilah (first time...and last so far)
Jared's delicious pancakes in bed
an ipod
a beautiful necklace
a super cute card & picture from Addison that she made at pre-school (first school gift...I LOVE IT!!!)
a peaceful & very pretty drive through the mountains with the family

I'm sure there was more, but sadly my memory has failed me. That's why I need to write these things down the day of. Oh well, some day I'll learn...maybe!

And yes, I am well aware that many of my favorite things consist of food. What can I say? That is the way to my heart!

I had a wonderful mother's day, I only wish I could have spent it with my mom. I really wish I was more like her. She was, and still is, a great mother. Her whole life has been dedicated to her kids. She was always so kind, patient & affectionate. I seriously don't ever remember her losing her temper, or yelling at us or really even getting mad at all. Of course we all know how bad my memory is. Hee hee, I'm just kidding. She has so many beautiful qualities that I am still trying to develop. I'm very grateful for her love & example.

I'm so glad you had such a special and wonderful Mother's Day, you are a very special and wonderful Mother, so what a great way to remind you of that. It is such a pleasure and a joy, watching my Daughter be a Mother, I have always been so proud of you, It has always been my honor to be your Mom. Thank you for being such a wonderful Mother to three of my greatest joys and blessings, there really is no greater gift you could give me. I too wish we could have all been together.
I love that Miss Delilah slept all night on Mother's Day, her sweet little spirit was in tune.
Love you,
