Thank goodness for sisters-in-law!

I've been very lucky to be able to live by Jared's sister Julie and his brother's wife Trecia for the past few years. They are so much fun to be around. I have learned a lot from both of them and they are always so willing to help whenever I need it. I am sad to be moving away from them, I will miss them a ton!

For my birthday Julie got me a gift certificate to a local nail place for a pedicure so the three of us went today for a girl's outing. This was the perfect present, we had so much fun. I've never had a pedicure before and I wasn't quite sure what I would think of it, but I loved it. We got to sit in massage chairs and just relax while our feet soaked. Then they massaged our legs and feet from the knees down and did a hot rock treatment. It felt so good and now my toes look so pretty. I'm so glad we were able to do this. I called my mom and sister and told them we would definitely have to all go get pedicures next time we were together. Thanks Trecia and Julie for introducing me to such a wonderful treat! I think I may be addicted already.

I felt like such a dork because since I had never had a pedicure before I was all excited and kept asking people to take pictures of us. I also kept asking questions because I didn't know what certain things were and some parts really tickled so I giggled a lot. They probably thought I was some sort of hillbilly who "ain't never been to no real salon in the city before"!

My feet are pretty, so pretty & white.

Here's the after pictures, aren't our toes so cute? I thought it would be fun to have you guess which foot belongs to which person. Julie said I couldn't use the picture of us wearing our flip-flops because since I had to have had mine for at least 15 years or so, people would know which foot was mine just because they would recognize the shoe. Just to clarify Julie, I've probably only had them for about 10 years! ;)

BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS!

Every night before bed and every day before her nap I always go in Addison's room with her and read her stories. We usually just read whatever books happen to be on her nightstand which is normally about 3 or 4. Well, when I walked into her room the other night this is what I found:
She actually did this for the first time right after Urban was born and did it a few times after, but it's been awhile. I think it's so cute, but it also makes me a little sad. I'm sure the reason she does it is because one of the few times we have together when it's just one on one alone time is when we're reading books before bed. I guess she's smart enough to realize that if we have to read ALL of these books then I'll be in there with her for a long time. Man, kids are so much smarter than we give them credit for. We didn't quite read all of these books, but I am trying to get better about finding more ways to spend alone time with Addison.

I LOVE THIS FACE!!!

Need I say more?
Okay, maybe just a little bit more. Urban always makes this face where he's facing downward, but he just looks up at you with his eyes and raises his eyebrows. I think it's so darn adorable. It totally emphasizes his double chin and chubby cheeks...I love it! It's the only time in your life when it's actually not only acceptable, but cute to have such facial features.

We "heart" food

As with most holidays in our household, Valentine's day was full of yummy food. I've come to realize that I focus way too much on food for special occasions. Oh well, what can I say? I have a problem, I LOVE FOOD! The day started out with heart shaped pancakes for breakfast, then for lunch we had heart shaped sandwiches. Later in the afternoon I made heart shaped sugar cookies to decorate and mini red velvet cakes to deliver to our family, friends and neighbors. (The picture doesn't look all that great, but they sure were good.) We truly are so very lucky to be surrounded by so many people who we love and who love us. I just wanted to do a little something to show our appreciation for them. Next, for dinner I made chicken alfredo & broccoli with pink & white heart shaped pasta and heart shaped garlic bread. Not to mention all of the candy we munched on here and there all day long! After our eating extravaganza, we gave the kids their cute little Valentine's books and goodies which paled in comparison to what both of their grandma's spoiled them with. =) All in all it was a great day, hectic, but good. I felt like I was cooking/baking all day long. Here are some cute shots we got of the kids. I wish the one of them hugging didn't turn out blurry. I still put it on here because I think it's absolutely precious.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

I just wanted to get on here and wish everyone a happy valentine's day!!! I hope everyone has a love-ly day. I will post details & pictures of the Estes family happenings later on today. We love you all. XOXOXO
